College Success
IS 001 is a course which assists students in obtaining skills and knowledge necessary
to reach their educational, career and life objectives. Topics to be covered include
orientation to college, motivation, memory development, physiological wellbeing, study
skills/techniques, career-life planning, and financial literacy, and skills for dealing
with personal issues, interpersonal relationships in addition to other life challenges
that students encounter throughout the various stages of their life.

Career Planning
IS 002 examines the career development process and teaches students a quantifiable
decision-making process that will help them identify and plan for their career/life
planning and educational goals. The course focuses on self and career exploration,
as well as identifying an educational pathway to achieve desired professional goals.
Students will identify their interests, values, skills, and personality types as they
relate to career/life planning and educational goals.

Ensuring Transfer Success
IS 020 provides in-depth information and assistance with the transfer process

aid and scholarship information will be covered.
