COALINGA, CA — Coalinga College will celebrate a historic milestone at its upcoming commencement ceremony on Friday, May 23, with a record 772 graduates—a 29% increase over last year.
The ceremony will take place at 6:30 PM at the Coalinga High School Memorial Bowl, with 414 graduates expected to walk across the stage in front of family, friends, and community members.
This year also marks another achievement: the highest number of dual enrollment graduates in the college’s history, with 178 high school students earning college credit and completing their programs before graduating from high school.
“This remarkable growth is a reflection of the hard work and determination of our students and the commitment of our faculty and staff,” said Dr. Carla Tweed, President of Coalinga College. “We are especially proud to see so many dual enrollment students achieving college milestones at such a young age. It’s an exciting time for our college and our community.”
