California State Representative Esmeralda Soria Visits Coalinga College to Explore Agriculture and Health Workforce Innovation

On Friday, January 24, 2025, California State Representative Esmeralda Soria visited Coalinga College to engage with college leaders, community partners, and students about the innovative programs that drive the Central Valley's agriculture and healthcare workforce development.

During her visit, Representative Soria toured Coalinga College's Health Careers program facilities and the state-of-the-art AgTech mobile classroom. These programs provide hands-on education to prepare students for high-demand jobs in the region. The day also included a visit to Harris Farms, where Representative Soria joined Chancellor Dr. Robert Pimentel and district staff for a conversation about agriculture's critical role in the local economy.
