There are many ways to experience campus life, but it’s hard to beat the rich experiences of on-campus living.

Why On-Campus Housing?

Coalinga College is one of the few California Community Colleges which provides students with the option of on-campus housing.

Our goal is to provide students with a safe, secure living environment which, in turn, encourages your academic success. Many studies have show that students who live on campus not only have a higher GPA, but are more likely to graduate.  All while living in caring environment which helps promote a better understanding of different cultures and lifestyles while teaching students about responsibility.

  • The Housing Application Process
    To apply for housing you must complete these five steps:
    1. Apply for Admission and be admitted to Coalinga College Admissions Application
    2. Apply for Financial Aid Complete a FAFSA Application even if you feel you will not qualify for financial aid assistance. (Excluding International Students)
    3. Apply for Residence Hall Housing and Pay Deposit Complete the online housing application and pay the $125 deposit. This deposit is refundable if you have no charges or balance at the end of the year. If you do owe a balance, the deposit will be applied to it. 
    4. Make Arrangements to pay for on-campus Housing Expenses After initial application approval and prior to room assignment you must make the necessary arrangements to pay for housing and tuition (if applicable). Please conatct the financial aid office at 559-934-2310 to schedule an FOA meeting to break down costs and give you a projected 20% to pay before your arrival to campus. If you are an international student please reach out to your office representative for any additional details, financial aid will also assist with estimations.
    5. Sign a housing contract for the semester
    The housing application process will not be considered finalized until all steps have been completed in full.

  • To qualify for on-campus housing, students must be registered as a full-time student (12 units of credit each semester) and maintain a 2.0 GPA. Students who qualify for on-campus housing must purchase a meal plan. We have a 19 and a 14 meal plan to choose from. You may upgrade your meal plan but you cannot downgrade. 

  • Payment arrangement total cost of fees, tuition and housing balances are to be made prior to your arrival.  The Financial Aid office will work with you once a total has been established. If you have a remaining balance from a previous semester, you may not be allowed to register for classes or on-campus housing until the balance has been resolved. Lastly, you must be enrolled in a minimum of 12 units and maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher.

  • Due to limited space, we encourage students to apply for Fall housing before July 1 and for Spring housing by Dec. 1 of each year. After these dates, students must contact On-Campus Housing at (559) 934-2370 to check for availability.

    Fall '25 move in date is scheduled for August 7th from 10am-4pm

    Spring '26 move in date is TBD

    Students must come in during the scheduled time. Students who do not come within the scheduled time will not be able to move in. Please contact housing at 559-934-2370 with questions and concerns.
