Smart Agriculture

The Smart Agriculture certificate of achievement blends technical proficiency with agricultural expertise, enabling students to develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for success in the rapidly evolving intersection between technology and agriculture. This program will help students develop effective communication skills, foundational agronomic knowledge, critical thinking, and the application of cutting-edge technologies to solve real-world problems.

Program Student Learning Outcomes

1. Students will communicate technical information and work related concepts effectively through professional written and oral communication.
2. Students will describe basic agronomic concepts of soil, tillage, fertilizers, pest control, and crop production.
3. Students will solve problems using critical thinking and troubleshooting skills individually or in a team environment.
4. Students will explore new technologies and apply them to current production issues.
