IMTs are certified and equipped to work in the industrial, welding or agricultural industries. Industrial Maintenance Technicians understand construction mechanics and construction drawings, and they can install, repair or maintain systems such as piping systems, pressure steam systems, cooling towers bearings and couplings, belt and chain drives, distillation towers and vessels, heaters and furnaces.
The Coalinga College Industrial Maintenance Technology program gives students hands-on experience at its state-of-the-art Farm of the Future facility.
Students studying Industrial Maintenance at Coalinga College will learn skills in the areas of electrical control systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, power tools, hand tools and safety skills. The courses offered in this program are transferrable to other colleges and will qualify students to become MSSC Certified and NCCER Certified.
